Athena Through Book XIV
The time is nearing when Odysseus will reclaim his homeland, and I am very excited. I just spoke with him and outlined a plan for him to take, but I had to convince him that he is indeed on Ithaca, as he is always suspicious. He and I are so similar in our personality treats. We are both wise, and we are both always deceitful and cunning. I have never met another human who is so cunning. Also, I have instructed Telemachus on how to proceed. I instructed him to head home and go to the swineherd, and I am very pleased with his recent maturity. Although Odysseus is almost ruling his homeland again, I am still kind of fearful of my uncle, Poseidon. It is not to late for him to intervene and ruin everything, but I hope he doesn't. I just cannot contain my excitement! Odysseus is so very close to taking revenge on the parasitic suitors and reclaiming his rule of Ithaca. When he reveals himself and takes care of the suitors, he will finally be able to see his son and his wife who he left many years ago. i almost feel bad that he must wait with the swineherd, but I know that he needs to see the never ending loyalty and kindness of the swineherd. Odysseus needs to see just what this man has done for his master despite not seeing him in twenty years. I'm just so excited!
